APEA Endorses Candidates for Amherst School Committee and Town Council
The Amherst-Pelham Education Association’s Representative Council considered candidates who were seeking endorsements for the upcoming local election on November 4th.
For School Committee, they endorsed

- Laura Jane Hunter,
- Bridget Hynes.
For Town Council, they endorsed
- Allegra Clark,
- Ellisha Walker,
- Jillian Brevik,
- Vincent O’Connor,
- Amber Cano-Martin,
- Jason Dorney,
- Patrick Drumm.
The APEA sought candidates who will advocate for safe and equitable schools, a fair and sustainable funding system, and racial and gender justice. The APEA feels confident that these candidates will be open to listening to community concerns around schools, and aim to partner with educators who bring experience and expertise to their work with youth every day.
